#976 - Manhattanhenge

Manhattanhenge is the "can't miss" summer solstice trend that sends crowds running into the streets of New York, twice a year.  Our version of Stonehenge appeals to the urban "sun worshipers", who risk life and limb by dodging traffic and jockeying for a coveted spot to get the best shot of an evenly centered sun setting between Manhattan's  east - west street grids. Manhattanhenge might be viewed as  a growing trend, but it's still NYC's greatest natural phenomenon.

BTW...special thanks to the super cool tourists and fellow New Yorkers who
graciously offered to let me stand in their spot, to capture this image.

Stay tuned for the next item(s) on our list.
